Briefing
The marines receive an overview of the Mission, it's objectives, expected obstacles and other information they have access to.
Selection of a Leader
The players select a Battle-Brother to lead them into battle. He acts as a commander during the Mission. His job is to make decisions and break deadlock. He also determines the Oaths the Kill-Team may take.
Oath-Taking
Space
Marines take oaths to their Chapter, their Primarch, the Deathwatch, and the
Emperor before battle. This should be seen as a roleplaying opportunity: Black Templars will most likely reaffirm their bonds of loyalty to their Battle-Brothers, Ultramarines study the Codex Astartes... Oaths grant a bonus for the coming Mission as well as access to Squad Mode abilities.
Arming
The Squad then determines how many requisition points they receive and buy their equipment from the common pool.
